ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking highly motivated students to join our R&D team and work on innovative projects. Here are the four intriguing topics we offer for master’s theses:

 

  1. Overall Subject: Develop AI for Microstructure Analysis
    Department: R&D Laboratory
    Description: Standardize and simplify the process of microstructure analysis using AI to identify and categorize different structures.
    Key Questions:

    • How can key parameters of microstructure be measured with the help of AI?
    • How should the AI model be trained for optimal performance?
  2. Overall Subject: Drawing Industry 4.0
    Department: R&D
    Description: Focus on buying, installing, and monitoring sensor equipment for a drawing machine to enhance Industry 4.0 capabilities.
    Key Questions:

    • What sensors are best suited for monitoring different parameters such as temperature, pressure, and vibrations to analyze the machine’s performance?
    • How can the collected data be analyzed effectively?
    • How can this data be presented clearly to different stakeholders, including engineers, researchers, and operators?
  3. Overall Subject: Reflectivity Measurement on Wire
    Department: R&D
    Description: Focus on buying, installing, and monitoring reflectivity measurement equipment for a drawing machine.
    Key Questions:

    • What sensors are most suitable for measuring reflectivity and other parameters to assess the machine’s performance?
    • How should the reflectivity data be analyzed?
    • How can this information be effectively communicated to engineers, researchers, and operators?
  4. Overall Subject: CAD and Design a Machine Part in the Drawing Industry
    Department: R&D
    Description: Design a machine part in collaboration with R&D and production teams, and define the specifications required.
    Key Questions:

    • How to define the problem and create a path to solve it?
    • What materials and components are recommended for the design?
    • How can the design and specifications be presented effectively to engineers, researchers, and operators?

 

ABOUT YOU

  • A student with a background in materials science, physics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in machine learning and data analysis.
  • An interest in applying AI techniques to real-world scientific challenges.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
