Company Overview

Suzuki Garphyttan (SG) is a leading global company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of steel products. We are seeking an Executive Vice President - Strategic Development to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our NSSG group companies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with executive management, develop strategic targets, and drive collaborative initiatives between SG and Nippon Steel SG Wire (NSSG).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive management to develop annual and mid-term business plans.
• Assist project leaders in the execution of business plans to achieve strategic targets.
• Coordinate meetings such as Board Meetings, Global Management Meetings (GMM), and Monthly Review Meetings (MRM) between SG and NSSG.
• Serve as a member of the board of directors of Suzuki Garphyttan AB.

Necessary Competencies

• Strong analytical skills to assess the business environment and formulate effective corporate strategies.
• Proven management skills to execute business plans and support the realization of corporate strategies.
• Previous work experience in steel companies with a solid understanding of the steel industry and related sectors.
• Experience working in global companies, preferably having been stationed at various international sites.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive projects forward.
• Fluent proficiency in English and Japanese, both in written and verbal communication, to facilitate seamless interaction between SG, NSSG, and Nippon Steel Corporation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Economics, etc.) or equivalent work experience. Experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in the steel industry.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, think strategically, and develop actionable plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
