ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a skilled and driven engineer with a passion for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)?

We're looking for a talented System Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our Global MES solutions. You'll collaborate closely with production, IT, and other stakeholders to create effective and integrated solutions that optimize our production processes, enhance data accessibility, and contribute to improved quality and traceability.

Your primary focus will be on harnessing the power of the Ignition platform to deliver innovative and robust MES functionalities.

 

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and configure MES applications and modules within the Ignition platform based on business needs and requirements. This includes programming/scripting (Python and SQL), database management, visualization, reporting, and integration with other systems.
  • Participate in the implementation and deployment of new MES solutions and upgrades in the production environment, including testing, documentation, and user training.
  • Work with integration to ERP systems and production equipment.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and bugs in the MES systems, providing support and guidance to users.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration manuals, test protocols, and user instructions.
  • Stay updated on the technical developments within the Ignition platform and the MES field, contributing knowledge and ideas to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with production personnel, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure MES solutions meet business needs.
  • Actively participate in MES-related projects from requirements gathering to deployment and follow-up.

ABOUT YOU

You have proven experience in working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Strong knowledge of the Ignition platform is highly desirable. Understanding of system integration principles. Familiarity with industrial automation and production processes is a plus.

You thrive in collaborative environments and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are eager to learn and stay updated with new technologies, and you are driven to contribute to continuous improvement.
